Sentiero Alpino Bregaglia
The popular hiking route connecting the Bregaglia huts is available again since the year 2025.
Thanks to the reopening of the Capanna Sciora and the new trail to the hut, it is once again possible to visit all four alpine huts in Bregaglia over the course of five memorable days. The route, which is only suitable for experienced hikers with sure footing, follows mountain trails marked in white-blue and white-red between Maloja and Bondo.

This offer is available to book from the beginning of July until the end of September. Depending on the amount of new snow, the Bregaglia Alpine Trail will be fully accessible until the end of September.
The Passo Casnile Sud and Passo Cacciabella feature sections equipped with chains and iron steps that demand sure-footedness and a head for heights from experienced hikers. Less experienced hikers should use a climbing harness as an additional safety measure, while a helmet is recommended for protection against rockfall. Note: This is not a via ferrata, but an alpine trail with partially secured sections, classified as T5.
Hikers undertake the entire Bregaglia Alpine Trail at their own risk. This high-altitude route involves inherent risks, therefore it is essential to carefully assess your abilities and the conditions, and take the necessary safety precautions.
Please note that the route can be extended by spending an extra night in an additional mountain hut. This involves crossing the Trubinasca Pass after the Sasc Furä refuge and heading towards Val Codera. Accommodation at the Rifugio Luigi Brasca has to be booked separately.
